Before You Make a Referral
First, download and read our Information Pack. This explains how Accepting Behaviour works, our approach to supporting children and young people, the packages we offer, our costs, and our full terms and conditions. Please make sure you are familiar with this information before proceeding with a referral, so that you understand our provision and how we work from the outset.
School referral
A school referral is for education settings seeking acceptance-based support for a pupil who is struggling to engage or cope within the current school environment. We are based in Worcestershire and work with schools across Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Sandwell, and Dudley. This route is often used where pupils are experiencing significant anxiety, emotional distress, reduced attendance, or where relationships and engagement are breaking down despite reasonable adjustments and graduated responses.
Schools can use this referral to explain what has been tried, what is no longer working, and where concerns are escalating. If your school is outside the West Midlands, we can’t offer direct in-person support, but online consultation or advisory support may still be available. Once you submit a school referral, we will review it carefully and respond within 48 hours to discuss whether our approach could help stabilise the situation and protect the pupil’s wellbeing.
